Relaxing.
HypnoBirthing® is a as much a philosophy as it is a technique. It is a rewarding, relaxing, stress-free method of birthing that is based on the belief that all babies should come into the world in an atmosphere of gentility, calm and joy. When a birther is properly prepared for birthing physically, mentally and spiritually, they can experience that sort of joy, birthing their baby in an easier, more comfortable, and often even pain-free manner.
-
Instinctual.
HypnoBirthing® is a as much a philosophy as it is a technique. Khristina Helmich teaches HypnoBirthing®, The Mongan Method. HypnoBirthing® returns to a birther the art of birthing in a way that allows them to summon their natural birthing instincts and to birth their baby in safety and with ease.
-
Safe.
HypnoBirthing® returns safety and confidence to both the birther and the partner(s). By learning in-depth childbirth education and meditation techniques through a 5-week program, the birther and their partner prepare for a safe, healthy and confident pregnancy, birth, and postpartum season.

Hypnosis is a natural, normal state of mind similar to that of sleep. The average person hypnotizes themselves 7xs per day. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis, something not done to you, but rather something your mind does for you. It bypasses the critical mind, entering the subconscious.
-
No. Hypnosis is not something done to you. Close your eyes and relax your mind for a few minutes. Congratulations, you just hypnotized yourself into a relaxed state! Imagine with training and practice how relaxed you could be in birth!
-
Hypnosis does not open your mind to any kind of control. Hypnotherapy is used and praised by many medical professionals for it’s success with mental health, addiction treatment, trauma therapy, and even those looking to be closer to their religion.

Every birth is different. Deep relaxation techniques and education through this series will help give you the tools needed for a more comforting, fearless, often pain-free birth.
